Make a Donation

Here are some examples of what your donation would mean to Raising A Reader MA and the children and families we serve:

$2,500 - Enable Raising a Reader to reach more than 100 low-income children and their families over five years by providing books, red book bags and early literacy support to a pre-school child care classroom.

$1,500 - Help Raising A Reader reach 75 infants and toddlers over a five-year period by providing the Infant/Toddler book bag kit and ongoing support to child care sites and visiting home programs.

$1,000 - Provide books, red book bags and support to child care providers who care for low-income children in a neighborhood home setting. This sponsorship allows Raising A Reader to reach 50 children and families over a five-year period.

$500 - Provide books, red book bags and early literacy support to children and families through home visitors who regularly visit them at home. This sponsorship allows Raising A Reader to reach 25 families whose children are identified as "at-risk" at the earliest ages.

$250 - Support Family Literacy Day in a community and other outreach efforts to educate parents about the importance of daily book time with their children and provide them with books, library cards and other resources to make regular reading at home possible.

$100 - Provide blue library book bags for 25 children and support their families in discovering and using their local library for ongoing access to books and literacy programs.

$50 - Provide a child and her family books and support for one year.
